Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To get quotes, only six pieces of information are needed: your gender, date of birth, general health assessment, tobacco status, desired coverage amount, and term length. Your name, address and full health details are never collected to see rates; they are gathered only if you choose to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for your selected health class. The carrier's underwriting team will review the application and may confirm, upgrade, or adjust the rate class; the final cost depends on that underwriting decision. Rates on this site are estimates only and not a guarantee of coverage or price.

What happens when I click Apply?

After selecting Apply, you enter your name and proceed into the carriers' secure application environment with your exact quote prefilled. The application can be paused and resumed, and you sign everything electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), processes the entire application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on your carrier choice, the benefit amount, and your health history. Many modern carriers offer streamlined underwriting paths without a paramedical exam for qualified applicants; the quote you receive will show whether an exam is required, possibly required, or can be skipped.

Is a longer term better?

A term should extend through the years when income loss would destabilize your family: years of a mortgage, years with children at home, years of business obligations. Longer terms carry higher monthly costs but lock your rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years at once.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not ask for your name or phone number to see rates. We do not buy or share your personal information. Our first-party measurement honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control; however, the site also uses a cookieless page-view beacon from our content delivery provider which does not read such signals. The privacy page lists all tracking methods and sources.
